Senior Product Designer · Florianópolis, Brazil
Screens are easy now. Knowing which ones matter isn't.
I'm Rafa. For 8+ years I've designed B2B and enterprise products for companies in Brazil, LATAM and Europe. I do the research, make the product decisions with the team and stay close to the code.

Work
Platforms for global brands, and products my studio helped rebuild.
Gold System: rebuilding a 40-module management platform
Its clients said they couldn't work without it. They also rated it 57% on satisfaction. I led the research and the redesign of the next version, area by area, without stopping anyone's operation.

How a project usually goes.
Talk to people first
Users, support, sales, whoever touches the product. On Gold System that was 20+ interviews and a survey with 49 answers before we changed a single screen.
Prototype early
I put a clickable prototype in front of people while discovery is still going, often built with AI, so feedback comes from something real.
Decide together
Product, tech and business in the same conversation. Workshops, short review cycles and clear trade-offs written down.
Stay close to code
I came from front-end. Handoff means components that run, not just a Figma link.

About
Hi, I'm Rafa.
I'm from São José do Rio Preto, in the interior of São Paulo, and I live in Florianópolis. I got into tech through front-end, moved to product design in 2018 and stayed.
For six years I've split my time between Sensorama, designing for global companies, and Manobra, the studio I founded. The first taught me how to work inside big product teams, in English, with a lot of stakeholders. The second taught me to own a product from the first client call to the last release.
I think design is a way to make better decisions, not just nicer screens. Now I want to bring that to one product team and go deep.

Sensorama
Senior Product Designer
Design consultancy in Florianópolis. I join the product teams of multinational clients in pharma, beverages, banking and education. Right now I'm on a European project for a global pharmaceutical company, fully in English, with people from several countries in the room. Before that: a B2B platform for one of the largest beverage companies in the world, and a pharma project across Latin America.
Manobra Studio
Founder
The product design studio I started in 2019. 100+ projects for 50+ companies, a lot of them systems that grew together with the business and got hard to use along the way. Two client partnerships lasted 4+ years and 20+ projects each. Today we design and deliver working front-end, built with AI.
Wed.biz
Product Designer, before that front-end intern
Where I started in tech, writing front-end code, before moving to product design. It's why I still think in components and talk easily with engineers.
Community
I organize design events, too.
A two-day design conference in Florianópolis. The 2026 edition had 15+ talks and a full house. The next one is April 2027.
Monthly meetups with 30 to 60 people: designers, developers and founders from the city's tech scene.
I started the chapter right after moving into UX. Three years of meetups, talks and workshops to grow design in the region.
